Bombay HC denies bail in DSK Group case
The Bombay high court on Monday rejected the bail applications of KedarVanjape and his wife, Sai, in the alleged Rs 2,091.11 crore economic fraud by developer D S Kulkarni (DSK) and his group of companies.
Kedar, who held the position of an executive director and head of legal and planning in the DSK group, is the son-in-law of the DSK’s brother, Prakash. He and Sai, who are among the 14 arrested in the case so far, were apprehended on May 16 — a day before the Pune police filed the first chargesheet in the fraud.
On August 10, the economic offences wing of the Pune police had filed a supplementary chargesheet against the Vanjapes and four others. The couple moved the high court after a special MPID court in Pune rejected their bail pleas on August 21, 2018.
