Bureau Veritas new Head Office in Mumbai inaugurated by Consul General of France
Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC), inaugurated their South Asia Regional Head Office on Thursday. Mr. Yves Perrin, Consul General of France, along with Mr. Juliano Cardoso, Executive Vice-President, Commodities, Industry & Facilities, AMAP and Mr. Amit Ghosh, Senior Vice President – Commodities, Industry & Facilities Division, South Asia Operating Region were present to officially flag-off operations.
Mr. Juliano Cardoso, Executive Vice-President, Commodities, Industry & Facilities, AMAP – Africa, Middle East, Asia, Pacific, posits, “The new Head Office is emblematic of the strength and power we see in the Indian market. We hope that our associates of the Asian subcontinent feel rejuvenated and filled with a sense of vigour to further grow and expand Bureau Veritas’ expansive network. With these improved facilities the global leadership hopes to take the lead in this highly competitive sector.”
The sprawling seven storey, 100,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility will roof over 1000 employees and is located at Marol Industrial Area, MIDC in Andheri (East), Mumbai. The building will cater to the entire range of Bureau Veritas’ Global Businesses Offering from marine & offshore to industry, building and infrastructure, commodities, certification, government services & international trade and consumer products services.
Bureau Veritas, listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange, has a Group revenue of €4.7 billion in 2017 and around 74,000 employees in 1,400 offices and laboratories in 140 countries with 400,000 clients. Bureau Veritas in India (BVIL) made its presence in India before 1947 as a marine classification society through representation at three major ports. BVIL started its exclusive office in the country in 1973 and today it has grown to over 6,500 employees with a network of 100 offices and laboratories across the country.
