Developers of unauthorised colonies in Mohali to learn regularisation process
To impart information regarding the process of regularisation of colonies, plots and buildings to the developers and the colonisers who have developed illegal colonies in area under its jurisdiction and the plot holders in these colonies, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (Gmada) will conduct a workshop on November 26.
The workshop will be held in the Committee Room, second floor, PUDA Bhawan, Sector 62, Mohali at 11 am.
A spokesperson of Gmada stated that the workshop is being conducted to sensitise the developers, colonisers and plot holders in unauthorised colonies regarding the process of regularisation.
Developers of unauthorised colonies or the residents in these colonies can attend the workshop, in which detailed information about the documents required while submission of application, requisite fee shall be imparted by way of live demonstration, said the spokesperson adding that queries will also be answered in the workshop.
Besides, holding this workshop, information regarding the regularisation procedure is constantly being given by the regulatory wing of the authority to the promoters/colonisers and plots holders through the staff deputed in the field and also in the office premises, the spokesperson revealed.
It is worth mentioning that the Housing and Urban Development Department, Government of Punjab, had notified the policy for regularisation of unauthorised colonies, plots and buildings in the state.
For the convenience of those interested in applying for regularisation, facility of submitting online application has also been provided. Response to the policy notified has been encouraging as the department so far has received more than 1000 applications pertaining to regularisation from across the state.
