Homebuyers’ relief top priority: New Noida Authority chairman
Senior bureaucrat Alok Tandon, who has been posted as chairman and chief executive officer of Noida Authority, took charge of his office on Saturday. He will also function as the managing director of Noida Metro Rail Corporation.
Tandon said that his priority would be to resolve all issues between the builders and homebuyers. He also said that his focus would be to revive industrial development in Noida and bring in investment and generate employment. Besides aiming for holistic development of the area, Tandon also promised a transparent working environment and tackle peoples’ problems on priority basis.
On the builder-buyer deadlock, Tandon said that solutions were being worked out at the highest-level. The three-member committee of ministers, which is scheduled to visit the area on September 14 and 15, has already met all stakeholders. Decisions would soon be announced, he told officials.
Even though Tandon said it was too soon for him to list his priorities, he studied in detail the work distribution of different officials. Tandon held back-to-back meetings with all his additional CEOs and department heads of institutional, industrial, commercial, residential and group housing. Each department had been asked to prepare a brief note on their issues, which was shared with him.
“He said that since all infrastructure development is incidental to industrial development, his aim will be to provide entrepreneurs with a conducive environment for setting up industry and ease of doing business,” said an official.
“Civic maintenance, municipal services, solid waste management, parking, encroachment, traffic management will also be on his agenda for overhauling in the city,” he said.
