Ichiro Murakoshi Appointed CEO of LHT Asia Pacific
LIXIL Group Corporation, maker of pioneering water and housing products, today announced that Ichiro Murakoshi has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of LHT Asia Pacific, effective August 1, 2019. Murakoshi will take charge of leading and growing LIXIL’s housing business in the Asia Pacific region, reporting directly to Bijoy Mohan, CEO of LIXIL International.
Commenting on the new appointment, Mohan said, “Ichiro is a highly respected leader and a veteran of the Asia Pacific region, home to some of the world’s fastest growing and most innovative markets. He has spearheaded country-level and regional initiatives here, helping to make LIXIL what it is today. I am confident that he will now lead our housing business on its next critical journey of growth in the Asia Pacific region as a truly inspiring leader, working closely with our colleagues in Japan.”
The multi-cultural Asia Pacific region is home to some of LIXIL’s key growth markets, and a focal point of LIXIL’s growth strategy for its housing business. So far, LIXIL has leveraged its advanced technology from Japan to unveil popular products in the region such as TOSTEM GRANTS, as well as implementing new end-to-end solutions to make the consumer experience in each market easy and enjoyable. It now looks to expanding into new markets with new solutions.

On assuming the role of CEO of LHT Asia Pacific, Murakoshi will concurrently continue to serve as Head of Sales for Wooden Doors, LIXIL China, and the Full Home Business Initiative. He joined Tostem Japan in 1996 as a Sales Representative, and has since become a country and regional business leader, driving strategic initiatives in LIXIL’s key markets across the Asia Pacific.
