JK Lakshmi Cement Q3 net up

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7.60 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago, JK Lakshmi Cement(JKLC) said in a BSE filing.

“Company’s profitability which was already hit by the steep increase in fuel prices got further affected by the apex court’s ruling banning pet coke consumption in the three states of Rajasthan, Haryana and UP from the month of Nov’17,” the company said.
It added that increase in diesel prices also pushed up the costs of both manufacturing and logistics.

“JK Lakshmi Cement recorded a healthy growth of 15 per cent in its sales volume during Oct-Dec 17 over Oct-Dec 16,” the company said in a statement.
