JSW steel to challenge Godrej’s furniture leadership
Sajjan Jindal-led JSW group wants to challenge the leadership of Godrej in the steel furniture market with its new venture JSW Living which launched its brand Forma on Thursday.
Launched with an initial seed funding , the “asset light” business is looking at earning a revenue of about Rs 250 crore over the next two years and chart its growth along with the growth of the currently undeveloped organised segment of the furniture market.
“We have our eyes set on who’s the number one player in the organised segment in steel (furniture) which is Godrej” Parth Jindal, director at JSW Living said at the launch.
“We want to challenge the status quo and challenge Godrej in the steel furniture segment,” he said.
