Pune had its first MahaRERA Conciliation and Dispute Resolution Forum
The Conciliation Forum set by MahaRERA under section 32(g) of RERA Act with an objective to amicably resolve disputes between the allottee and promoter had its first hearing on March 10thin the Pune city.
There were total 6 cases referred to the Pune Forum. Out of which 2 cases were heard in detail and successfully/ amicably resolved. The balance 4 cases were also heard and 2 weeks’ time was granted by the Conciliators for resolution of the matter. This Conciliation Forum will prove to be a success considering the response from allottees (flat purchasers) and developers.
A conciliation panel comprising representatives of CREDAI and consumer organisation Mumbai Grahak Panchayat – MGP (Pune Division) has been set up under the mechanism and a bench with one representative from each side will be formed for every complaint that comes to the panel. There were 4 benches to hear the grievances of customers/ home buyers filed with MahaRERA.
The constitution of 4 benches consisted of:
Bench 1: Amar Manjrekar (CREDAI) and Sanjeev Kulkarni (MGP-Pune Division)
Bench 2: I. P. Inamdar (CREDAI) and Keshav Barve (MGP-Pune Division)
Bench 3: Manish Jain (CREDAI) and Tanuja Rahane (MGP-Pune Division)
Bench 4: Anil Pharande (CREDAI) and Kalpita Ranade (MGP-Pune Division)
