Rs 200 Crore for Indore Smart City plan
Authorities have started working on the Rs 5,108 crore-worth Indore Smart City project and nearly Rs 200 crore is expected to be spent on it this financial year. “Our estimate is that in the current financial year, Rs 200 crore will be spent on roads, water supply, sewerage and water recycling schemes under the Smart City project,” said Manish Singh, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) Commissioner.
Under the project, construction of roads has already begun. Besides, detailed project report (DPR) for water supply, water recycling and sewerage is being prepared. If everything goes as per the plan, then tenders will be floated in the next two months under the scheme, he said.
