CREDAI suggests Maharashtra govt to set ready-reckoner rates scientifically
CREDAI president Shantilal Kataria said that the Maharashtra state government should set area specified ready-reckoner rates by employing scientific methods to benefit buyers as well as developers.
Kataria said, “Ten months have passed since implementation of RERA (Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act). There are some complications which we want the government to address immediately. One major issue the real estate business faces is that of ready reckoner rate. We demand the government to design a scientific method for determination of area specified ready-reckoner rates. This will help developer to develop property and sell at affordable prices. The policy will be in the interest of consumers. We will hand over the memorandum of our demands to the revenue minister Chandrakant Patil.”
