Crompton Greaves expands product portfolio
Electrical appliances maker Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd unveiled a new range of fans and air-coolers as part of expansion of its product portfolio.
The company currently retails various products under fans, lamps, pumps, air cooler business.
As part of its expansion plans, company Chief Executive Officer, Mathew Job said the new fan ‘Air 360’ covers 50 per cent more area and the new air cooler range provides 60 per cent better cooling facility than a standard air cooler.
“We are launching new range of fans — Air 360. It offers 50 per cent more area (coverage). Price will be Rs 2,375 and the decorative fans will be sold at Rs 2,575,” he said.
Job also unveiled Window Cooler ‘Tricool’ which offers 60 per cent better cooling than standard plastic cooler.
“It comes with three-sided honey comb technology and offers 60 per cent better cooling.. Price will be Rs 12,500,” he said. .
Stating that the company witnessed an increase in market share in the fan business to 27 per cent from earlier 24 per cent, he said, “under the LED lighting business, market share increased to nine per cent from earlier two per cent.”
The company has also earmarked two per cent of total revenue for taking up marketing purposes, he said.
On plans to increase the market presence, Job said they are planning to increase it from the existing one lakh outlets by 50 per cent in next two-three years.
