The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has recommended an FIR against 11 persons for carving out an unauthorised colony in Pataudi. A DTCP team had razed the colony on April 30, demolishing 54 structures.

On Tuesday, the office of DTCP (enforcement) wrote to police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar and recommended an FIR against Vijay Singh, Misro Devi, Anita, Amit Yadav, Bir Singh, Jaswant, Yajvinder, Babu Lal, Rakesh Dayal, Jitender Kumar Yadav and Ganga Singh. All 11 have been accused of promoting illegal construction without having a valid licence in Pataudi tehsil’s Bhora Kalan area.

According to the complaint, these people “carved out the unauthorised colony and promoted unauthorised construction on agricultural land in violation of sections 7 (i), (ii) and (iii) of Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975”.

The matter was raised in a district grievance committee meeting on March 30, and chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar had directed officials to take strict action.
