JK Cement to host the 26th Architect of the Year Awards on September 17, 2017 in Coimbatore
JK Cement will announce the 26th Architect of the Year (AYA) Award-2017 on September 17, 2017 in Coimbatore. The prestigious award is JK Cement’s annual flagship event and is aimed at recognizing and encouraging remarkable talent in the field of architecture.
Some of the categories at the AYA include Architect of the Year, the Great Master’s Award, the Young Architect Award and the Foreign Countries Architect Award. The jury for the award includes renowned names in the field of architecture.
The Chief Guest for the award ceremony will be Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, currently advisor and former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization.
The Architect of the Year Award (AYA) is a 25-year-old prestigious award instituted by JK Cement in 1990 to encourage outstanding talent in the profession of architecture. This year, the jury received over 199 entries that came from India as well as its neighboring nations, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
