Noida Authority forms panel of top officers for quick solutions
A panel of senior officials was formed by the Noida Authority on Saturday to look into grievances of residents on a priority basis. The panel will also address issues related to revenue generation for the cash-strapped Authority, which has massive dues from defaulting real estate companies.
According to an official, the panel, formed by chairman and CEO of Noida Authority Alok Tandon, will address three major concerns of residents. “Top most on the agenda will be the grievance redress system. A revamp of the system is on the cards as people’s problems are not being addressed and resolved on priority,” said the official.
“The second issue will be to ensure inter-departmental coordination. Presently, officials seem to be working in independent compartments. However, Tandon has directed that additional CEOs will need to work like nodal officers for departments so that the public is not harassed and information regarding problems are at hand and issues get resolved without a hitch,” the official said.
The third concern will be to address revenue-related issues. “The group will focus not only on how to collect their outstanding dues from defaulters but also to increase revenue generation so as to improve the financial health of the Authority,” he said.
The panel will include the three additional CEOs, officer on special duty, financial controller, senior officials from the engineering and projects department and chief legal advisor besides the chairman, the official said.
