The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority gets Singapore government’s help
The Singapore government is assisting the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s plans to develop the city.Couple of months back similar MoU was signed by Andhra Pradesh government with the Singapore government for the Amarawati city’s development.
The officials decided to appoint Singapore town planners as the efficacy of state town planners was doubted. The officials from Singapore will work with PMRDA authorities for about 10 months and ready the development plan. Unlike the land use plan developed by town planners in the state, it will be an economic development plan.
The chief minister had earlier visited Singapore and met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to draw investment for Pune’s development. The development plan is an awaited one for all he punekars.
